YouTube Thumbnail Preview
Preview your YouTube thumbnail and title before you publish. See how it looks on the home feed, search results, the suggested-videos sidebar and mobile, in light and dark mode, and check the recommended 1280×720 size and 2 MB limit. No upload.
Titles longer than about 60–70 characters get cut off in most views.

FAQ
What is the best YouTube thumbnail size?
1280×720 pixels (16:9), at least 640 pixels wide, as a JPG, PNG or GIF under 2 MB.
Why check the small sizes?
In search and the sidebar, thumbnails are shown very small — and the duration badge covers the bottom-right corner. Text that looks big on your screen can become unreadable there.
Is this an official YouTube tool?
No. It is an independent tool that imitates the general layout so you can check readability. Real screens may differ slightly.
