Screen Recorder

Record your screen, a window or a browser tab with optional microphone and tab audio, then preview and save it as MP4 or WebM. Free, no install, no watermark, and nothing is uploaded.

🔒 Recording happens inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded — the video stays on your device until you save it.

MP4 is saved when your browser can record it; otherwise WebM (plays in Chrome, Firefox, VLC and most editors).

How it works

  1. Choose whether to include your microphone and tab/system audio, then click “Start recording”.
  2. Pick the screen, window or tab to share in your browser’s dialog. Pause and resume whenever you like.
  3. Click “Stop” (or stop sharing), watch the preview, and click “Save video”.

FAQ

Is my recording uploaded?

No. The recording is made by your browser and kept in memory on your device until you save it. Closing the page discards it.

Does it work on phones?

No. iOS and Android browsers don’t let web pages capture the screen. Use your phone’s built-in screen recorder instead. On computers it works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

Why is my file WebM instead of MP4?

The format depends on what your browser can record. Recent Chrome, Edge and Safari can record MP4; others save WebM, which plays in Chrome, Firefox and VLC and imports into most editors.

Why isn’t system sound recorded?

Browsers only share audio in some cases: Chrome and Edge can share a tab’s audio (and full-screen audio on Windows) if you tick “Share audio” in the picker. macOS doesn’t allow full-system audio from the browser.
